In 2020, after 25 years working in the creative industry, I walked away from a job I really loved, where I worked with people I really loved. I knew that something was missing and I had to figure out what it was. So I spent 5 years away from social media and the grind to solve the mystery and explore the possibilities. This experience has had a profound effect on me. I discovered traits and skills that were lost and traits and skills I never knew I had. And through time spent making weird art and spending time outside with the birds and the trees, I found a wellspring of creativity and imagination. Hot damn! This was a lucky break and a luxury I knew most people would never get to have, so I am excited to incorporate the insights that came from such a big adventure in the work I’m doing now.
