The Book

I had a dream of becoming an author since I was a little kid. And in 2020 my first book was released and became a New York Times bestseller (a dream I had never even considered dreaming). I felt really proud, but over time my feelings changed and our relationship became more complex. Like, I started hating it, wanting to take it all back,
set it on fire . . . the usual disdain one might have for a public permanent vulnerable act.
So we decided to have a late night chat. We sat up all night reminiscing, hashing it out, coming up with codes and writing letters to people we loved. Below is the result of that very productive conversation, and I’ll tell you what, the whole experience really cracked me wide open. Popped the top off of a creative block that I didn’t even know was there. And from that day on art started pouring out of me and I’ll tell you, it has never stopped.
Thanks, book.
